Learning seems to be what the universe does for a living

The Universe seems to me to be an intelligent system, evolving through the use of interactive self monitoring systems which function as "life", but may in fact be epiphenomenon. Are we, in fact just the peripherals to the universal mainframe? Are we data gatherers for the conciousness of the universe? Does our every thought send ripples through the whole of spacetime in a self-correcting feedback process? I'd love to hear some feedback myself, on this or anything else on this blog.
